Shazi asked: The cooling fans stay on on my 1991 Lexus LS400 with the key on. They turn off when I turn the key off. What could be the problem?

There are several things involved in the cooling fan operation. The most likely problem with your complaint would be a blown fuse under the left side of dash it would be the IGN Fuse, 7.5 amps. With this fuse blown or missing the fans would both operate on high speed with the key on. Also there are three relays located in a relay box behind the left/driver's side headlight, a water temperature switch located at the left front of engine compartment (yellow w/blue and white w/black wires) and and a/c high pressure switch located in the refrigerant line near the drier assembly (red w/white and white w/black wires). Let us know how your diagnosis goes and if you need more help.

I just had the same problem after changing the water pump on my 1994 ls 400 it was a plug under the radiator on the left driver side
