1994 Ford crown Victoria, Power Mirrors Inop

Hi Sparky,

I hope you can help. The power mirrors on my 94 Crown Vic just stopped working neither mirror in any direction. I thought it might be a fuse but I cannot find any fuse location for the PMs. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Rich

The fuse is in the interior fuse block in the #4 position / 15 amp. It is a multi purpose fuse and provides power for the following in 1994 Illuminated Entry, Power Mirrors, Interior Illumination, Electronic Door Lock Control, Clock, Electronic Instrument Cluster and Radio. You did not say anything about these not working so I would assume your fuse is good. Now for testing; The light green/yellow wire is power input from fuse #4, the black wire is ground input ( it terminates behind the right cowl panel near the door sill), the yellow wire is common for the left motors, the red is for the L/R motor, the dark blue is for the Up/Down motor, The white wire is common for the right mirror motors, the dark green is for the L/R motor and the purple is for the Up/Down motor.
Hope this helps.

Start with the basics of checking the battery and the starter. Next check the Crank fuse for power while trying to start the engine.
