2002 Chevrolet Astro, Blower Inop

I have a 2002 chevy astro, The heater blower quit working, first the high speed quit then it all quit, what could be wrong? Thanks, Clay

Hi Clay,

It is likely that either the blower motor and or the resistor have failed. First check power on the purple wire at the blower motor with the key on and the blower switch set to high. Also check the black wire,it should have a constant ground. If both of these wires check okay try bumping the motor to see if it starts to work again. If the power is not present go to the blower resistor, unplug it and inspect it for damage. If damaged, the resistor and harness connector will need to be replaced. If the connector looks okay, remove the resistor and check for damage. If no damage is seen you will have to check the remaining wires for switched power through the blower switch with the key on.
