How To Replace The Blower Motor On A 2002 Chevrolet Astro Van


Can you please help me?
I wish to find out how to take out/replace my heating/ac fan for my 2002 chevy astro van.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

We recommend that you test to see if the fan is the problem in your vehicle before any removal/installation is performed. However, if you are certain that it is the problem, then you should follow the instructions below to remove it.

First, disconnect the negative ( - ) battery cable. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector and remove the air cleaner. Remove the coolant recovery tank, and remove the bolts from the windshield washer reservoir, and secure aside.

Remove two (2) blower motor cover screws. Cut the acoustic cover between 5 clips, and remove the acoustic cover. Retain the cover for installation. Disconnect the blower motor cooling tube. Remove the blower motor-to-case screws. Remove the blower motor. Remove blower fan-to-blower motor shaft nut, and remove the fan.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
